Agróptimum has been honoured with the 2026 Agri-Food Innovation Award in Castilla-La Mancha and Extremadura, presented by AgroBank, CaixaBank’s specialised business division for the agri-food sector. This recognition highlights our commitment to technological transformation, operational efficiency and continuous improvement, which are fundamental pillars of our business model.
Our CEO and founder, Ángel Minaya Toledo, accepted the award on behalf of the entire Agróptimum team. The ceremony took place at CaixaBank’s corporate headquarters in Madrid, where the award was presented by Juan Luis Vidal, CaixaBank’s Regional Director for Castilla-La Mancha and Extremadura.
Since our beginnings, at Agróptimum we have been committed to technology, research and the development of innovative solutions to drive the evolution of the pistachio industry.
Our vertically integrated business model allows us to manage the entire value chain, from nursery plant production and agricultural development to pistachio processing and the commercialisation of the final product.
Through our own laboratory, genetic improvement programmes and the implementation of advanced agricultural technologies, we continuously work to enhance productivity, optimise resources and ensure the highest quality standards.
This commitment to innovation is also reflected in our pistachio processing facility in Villanueva de la Jara (Cuenca), equipped with state-of-the-art technology and advanced sorting, quality control and traceability systems. These capabilities enable us to continue moving towards an increasingly efficient and competitive production model.
The AgroBank Agri-Food Innovation Awards were created to recognise companies and cooperatives that promote the modernisation of the agri-food sector through innovative solutions, contributing to economic development and regional competitiveness.
For Agróptimum, receiving this award represents an important recognition of our daily work and the dedication of a team committed to transforming the pistachio industry.
We continue moving forward with a clear objective: to position Spanish pistachios as an international benchmark for quality, innovation and traceability, creating new opportunities for the agri-food sector and contributing to the development of our region.
We would like to thank CaixaBank and AgroBank for this recognition, which encourages us to continue investing in research, technology and continuous improvement as key drivers of our growth.
